Here's Sydnie

This is my grandaughter Sydnie. She is 10 years old and will be in the 5th grade soon. She spends alot of time with Nana and I hope she enjoys it as much as I. She used to take gymnastics and the first time I took her and saw her climb the rope ( with no knots in it) I almost had a heart attack. She climbed right up that rope at least 25 feet like it was nothing. She doesn't look that strong but boys I'd treat her right if I were you.

In these pictures she is picking the top bunk at church camp and I guess she didn't fall out because the other one is returning home and I don't see any knots or bruises. She said she had a good time and got to see some of her friends she met last year.

I believe grandchildren are our reward from God for surviving parenthood. Seriously they are a blessing from God a precious in His sight. I still need to post a picture of her mom and her sister. I'll do that when I can.

LADIES - A MUST READ

It's addicting! Reading is not my favorite pastime, ( yes Lanny, I do know how to read) however this series of Yada Yada Prayer Group is awesome. My friend Grace is sharing them with our Bunco group right now and we are waiting for number 7 to come out in October.

Check the Library, surf the net, find a friend like Grace but don't miss out on this blessing.

Tournament Winner!

Chad played in a tournament at Trenton this morning and he won! He said they only shot 7 holes and he was 6 over. " But that's bogey golf". Next weekend is a two day tournament at Smithville. God has blessed both boys with athletic talent. Who knows, maybe they will use their talent like Coach Wake has to serve the Lord. Way to go Chad!

Really, I'm a Nana

Top left are my two handsome grandsons. Chad is the one with his arms around his brother Brandon. Chad is 12 years old and loves all kinds of sports. His favorite now is probably golf. He also loves wrestling and football. Top right is Brandon who is 14 years old and he is in to football and wrestling. They are great kids. I am very proud of them. Brandon is the oldest of the grandkids and then Chad which is 2 years younger.

The photo to the left is my daughter Kim and her husband Chuck. Kim is the secretary at her church and loves her job. Chuck is self employed as a dry wall finisher. They are both very good at their jobs. They are so active with their boys. They coach them in their wrestling. They actually built their own home and did a wonderful job.
My next post will be of my younger daughter, Brianne and her daughter Sydnie. Stay tuned.
P.S. I almost forgot the ugly dog Zoie. My daughter gets highly insulted when I call her ugly but the truth hurts.

Amazing Trip - Sad Good-bye

It's been an amazing time of seeing just some of the harvest which began way before we ever got to Romania. I may not get any pictures because we are all wanting to load. Being the last time we will have internet I wanted to touch base and let everyone know that things went great. The highlight for most of us was Roxanna's conversion. We have many stories to tell when we get home. After our last night on the street we took the translators and Troy of course for ice cream. It's a tradition. lol Then after that we had the final Good-bye. It was very sad. Marianna and I had a really hard time. But with the blogs and pictures maybe it won't be so hard.

Be sure to ask Lanny about the jalepeno peppers over here! I never saw Landon laugh so hard. I may have time for pictures but probably not captions. We leave tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. for the mountains.
I'll get better sorry. The top pic left is Bug and I eating watermelon. Bet you couldn't guess. The right pic is Where's Landon? In the middle of the kids. Middle left is Bogdon, Paula, Gabriella and Robert. The middle right is Marianna and myself. The bottom is a new translator Carmen. A very sweet young lady. She is here for college. She is taking computer science.
I pray all is well and I miss all of you. Thank you for praying and don't stop till you see the whites of our eyes. See you all at the airport. Be safe. Love to all. NBT

The start of a church in Zone 6

Last night we met a Gina's. There were 30 people including us. Three groups - American Baptist, Romanian Baptist, and Orthodox. Quite the mix. We did lesson 5 and some said they prayed to receive Christ. My friend Paula's mother was there and she is searching so please pray for her. Landon and I will hopefully talk to Bogdon's brother today. He is where Bogdon was for the last 2 years. We will play football with the kids this morning and share with them, then off to zone 6 this afternoon and zone 9 tonight. Troy is excited about zone 6 and the meeting room they now have. There is much to pray for. Love you all - we need your prayers.

My Romanian Family!

I may run out of time, but Whitney helped me get these downloaded. If I run out of time I'll give more details later. Oh well I'm tired, talk to you later. Love you all.

We're Here!!!!!!!!!!!

We got here barely. We had the roughest flight I have ever had, but we made it. Lanny and Whitney walked in just as we cleared customs. I gave them hugs from everyone (before you ask). Carrie we got to see Paula and Bogdon and the kids. They look great. I had trouble downloading the pictures so I may have to post on Lanny's or Whitney's if we don't get it figured out.

In Zone 6 they have just completed a room to have Bible studies and I got to be the first to pray over the room and ask God to Bless it abundantly. That was very meaningful to me. We are very tired, the rest of the group, except for Lanny, Whitney and I are in bed. We have Church early tomorrow. Then Monday some of us will be working in Zone 6 and some in Zone 9. We have many prospects thanks to the first two teams so we will be following up on those.

Oh yes, we have the whole Hotel to ourselves. It's amazing. Lila, your family is doing fine. Whitney looks great and Lanny is Lanny. She is so excited about the pop tarts and the reeces cups. It's so exciting to see what God has done in the last 3 years and to see what God is going to do.

Jeff, I hope you are feeling better since we talked. Tell everyone hello at Church and take care of yourself. Will blog more later. Love you all.

T minus 5 1/2 hours!

We will be taking off in 5 1/2 hours. Whitney we're are on the way. I got about 4 hours sleep last night. Lila and I met Jay and Michele and the kids at the airport. They were very tired but looked great. Morgan was ready to go to Lila's for the night. Then Lila and I had to stop off to check on the BUNCO BABES at Darla's. They were out of control but what's new there. We called our friend Pat who is having surgery today, (please pray for her healing) we prayed with her over speaker phone. It is so wonderful to have our family in Christ. I'll blog as often as I can. Til then.
