Tag Your IT

Thanks alot Grace! You know how boring I am. Oh well here goes.

How to play.

*Here's how you play....once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with ten random facts, habits, or goals about yourself. At the end, choose ten people to tag, listing their names and why you chose them; don't forget to leave a comment on their page letting them know "tag you're it". You cannot tag the original people/person back that tagged you first, but let them know when you have posted so they can read your blog.

1. I am a Nana of four grandchildren. Brandon 14, Chad 12, Sydnie 10, and Kamrie. Of course if you read my blog you already know this.

2. I have two daughters, Kimberly (I can't tell you how old they are or I'll be in trouble.) Who works for the First Christian Church in Gallatin where she is the Church Secretary and just loves her job. Brianne who works for Dr. Hindapur in St. Joseph and loves her job also.

3. I have one husband lol! His name is Jeff. We met on my 40th birthday and yes he was 29 at the time so yes I robbed the Cradle. We have been married 13 years, but you aren't going to find out how long we dated so you can't figure out how old I am.

4. My husband and I have worked together for 6 years now and are still married.

5. I am the AWANA Commander for Cameron FBC. We have a great Club and a great Church.

6. I have been to Romania 4 times on missions trips. My roommate has been Whitney Wake and we have a great time. I would never has imagined having such amazing friendships with people so far away.

7. My favorite books to read are the Yada Yada Prayer Group series. I'm not so patiently waiting for number 7.

8. I love to play BUNCO with my friends.

9. My favorite place to be would be at the beach anywhere.

10. I love football but I'm not happy with the Chiefs right now. So far this year the highlight has been at my grandson's junior varsity game when Brandon took the opening kickoff and ran it back 80 yards for a touchdown.

So Andrew, Lanny, you're it. That's the only ones left.

Kamrie, My fourth Grandchild

Yes I know it has been a while since I have posted. You see this will not be one of the easier posts to do. You may recognize the older little girl in the above picture. That's Sydnie my third grandchild. The baby in the picture you probably won't recognize. She is Sydnie's little sister Kamrie Cierra Crabb. My fourth grandchild.

As you can see she is a beautiful, healthy baby girl. She was born October 19, 1999. She died February 9th 2002. On February 6 2002 she came by my office about 8:15 a.m. with her Dad and she showed me her new white gloves. She gave me a kiss and a big hug and left to pick up her sister to take her to Pre-school. About 2 hours later, after they dropped Sydnie at Pre-school, I found out she had been a car accident and she was life flighted to Childrens Mercy Hospital. I'll spare you the details of the next three days except to tell you that the hardest thing I have ever done is to kneel beside my baby girl while she holds her baby girl and the Dr. takes her off of life support and she goes to be with our Lord.

Parents and Grandparents hold your children everyday and tell them you love them. Take pictures and movies of them and as Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it."

I thank God for the visit just before the accident. I miss Kamrie everyday and yes I still shed tears just like the ones I'm shedding right now, but Praise God that I will see her again and we can play together with all my grandchildren, because they all have accepted Christ as their Saviour.

I will post more pictures of Kamrie later. And by the way she was an organ and tissue donor. Two children received the gift of sight and two children received her heart valves. It is my prayer that they lead healthy, productive, Christian lives because of her gift.

Here's Sydnie

This is my grandaughter Sydnie. She is 10 years old and will be in the 5th grade soon. She spends alot of time with Nana and I hope she enjoys it as much as I. She used to take gymnastics and the first time I took her and saw her climb the rope ( with no knots in it) I almost had a heart attack. She climbed right up that rope at least 25 feet like it was nothing. She doesn't look that strong but boys I'd treat her right if I were you.

In these pictures she is picking the top bunk at church camp and I guess she didn't fall out because the other one is returning home and I don't see any knots or bruises. She said she had a good time and got to see some of her friends she met last year.

I believe grandchildren are our reward from God for surviving parenthood. Seriously they are a blessing from God a precious in His sight. I still need to post a picture of her mom and her sister. I'll do that when I can.

LADIES - A MUST READ

It's addicting! Reading is not my favorite pastime, ( yes Lanny, I do know how to read) however this series of Yada Yada Prayer Group is awesome. My friend Grace is sharing them with our Bunco group right now and we are waiting for number 7 to come out in October.

Check the Library, surf the net, find a friend like Grace but don't miss out on this blessing.

Tournament Winner!

Chad played in a tournament at Trenton this morning and he won! He said they only shot 7 holes and he was 6 over. " But that's bogey golf". Next weekend is a two day tournament at Smithville. God has blessed both boys with athletic talent. Who knows, maybe they will use their talent like Coach Wake has to serve the Lord. Way to go Chad!

Really, I'm a Nana

Top left are my two handsome grandsons. Chad is the one with his arms around his brother Brandon. Chad is 12 years old and loves all kinds of sports. His favorite now is probably golf. He also loves wrestling and football. Top right is Brandon who is 14 years old and he is in to football and wrestling. They are great kids. I am very proud of them. Brandon is the oldest of the grandkids and then Chad which is 2 years younger.

The photo to the left is my daughter Kim and her husband Chuck. Kim is the secretary at her church and loves her job. Chuck is self employed as a dry wall finisher. They are both very good at their jobs. They are so active with their boys. They coach them in their wrestling. They actually built their own home and did a wonderful job.
My next post will be of my younger daughter, Brianne and her daughter Sydnie. Stay tuned.
P.S. I almost forgot the ugly dog Zoie. My daughter gets highly insulted when I call her ugly but the truth hurts.

Amazing Trip - Sad Good-bye

It's been an amazing time of seeing just some of the harvest which began way before we ever got to Romania. I may not get any pictures because we are all wanting to load. Being the last time we will have internet I wanted to touch base and let everyone know that things went great. The highlight for most of us was Roxanna's conversion. We have many stories to tell when we get home. After our last night on the street we took the translators and Troy of course for ice cream. It's a tradition. lol Then after that we had the final Good-bye. It was very sad. Marianna and I had a really hard time. But with the blogs and pictures maybe it won't be so hard.

Be sure to ask Lanny about the jalepeno peppers over here! I never saw Landon laugh so hard. I may have time for pictures but probably not captions. We leave tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. for the mountains.
I'll get better sorry. The top pic left is Bug and I eating watermelon. Bet you couldn't guess. The right pic is Where's Landon? In the middle of the kids. Middle left is Bogdon, Paula, Gabriella and Robert. The middle right is Marianna and myself. The bottom is a new translator Carmen. A very sweet young lady. She is here for college. She is taking computer science.
I pray all is well and I miss all of you. Thank you for praying and don't stop till you see the whites of our eyes. See you all at the airport. Be safe. Love to all. NBT

The start of a church in Zone 6

Last night we met a Gina's. There were 30 people including us. Three groups - American Baptist, Romanian Baptist, and Orthodox. Quite the mix. We did lesson 5 and some said they prayed to receive Christ. My friend Paula's mother was there and she is searching so please pray for her. Landon and I will hopefully talk to Bogdon's brother today. He is where Bogdon was for the last 2 years. We will play football with the kids this morning and share with them, then off to zone 6 this afternoon and zone 9 tonight. Troy is excited about zone 6 and the meeting room they now have. There is much to pray for. Love you all - we need your prayers.

My Romanian Family!

I may run out of time, but Whitney helped me get these downloaded. If I run out of time I'll give more details later. Oh well I'm tired, talk to you later. Love you all.

We're Here!!!!!!!!!!!

We got here barely. We had the roughest flight I have ever had, but we made it. Lanny and Whitney walked in just as we cleared customs. I gave them hugs from everyone (before you ask). Carrie we got to see Paula and Bogdon and the kids. They look great. I had trouble downloading the pictures so I may have to post on Lanny's or Whitney's if we don't get it figured out.

In Zone 6 they have just completed a room to have Bible studies and I got to be the first to pray over the room and ask God to Bless it abundantly. That was very meaningful to me. We are very tired, the rest of the group, except for Lanny, Whitney and I are in bed. We have Church early tomorrow. Then Monday some of us will be working in Zone 6 and some in Zone 9. We have many prospects thanks to the first two teams so we will be following up on those.

Oh yes, we have the whole Hotel to ourselves. It's amazing. Lila, your family is doing fine. Whitney looks great and Lanny is Lanny. She is so excited about the pop tarts and the reeces cups. It's so exciting to see what God has done in the last 3 years and to see what God is going to do.

Jeff, I hope you are feeling better since we talked. Tell everyone hello at Church and take care of yourself. Will blog more later. Love you all.

T minus 5 1/2 hours!

We will be taking off in 5 1/2 hours. Whitney we're are on the way. I got about 4 hours sleep last night. Lila and I met Jay and Michele and the kids at the airport. They were very tired but looked great. Morgan was ready to go to Lila's for the night. Then Lila and I had to stop off to check on the BUNCO BABES at Darla's. They were out of control but what's new there. We called our friend Pat who is having surgery today, (please pray for her healing) we prayed with her over speaker phone. It is so wonderful to have our family in Christ. I'll blog as often as I can. Til then.

It's Lila's Fault!

Okay Lila, I give. I also know nothing about what I am doing so when I look dumb it's your fault. It does seem like a great way to keep in touch with people you love to be around and to share what is going on in our lives. Also known as "What's God been doing in your life?"

I leave for Romania on July 6 th for 10 days with the last team from Cameron First Baptist for this year. It is amazing to hear what God is doing already with the first two teams and I am so excited to get there and see what he has planned for our team. Stay tuned for further updates!
